The Flightdeck Consulting began operations in 2006 in Sydney, Australia. Founded by current and former airline pilots with the aim of assisting the next generation of airline pilots further their careers.

Flightdeck Consulting has successfully assisted thousands of pilots achieve their dreams of flying for the airlines through their Interview Preparation Books, Preparation Software and One on One Coaching sessions.

Our coaches are pilots, with unique industry insight who take pride in providing top-notch coaching, working with pilots of all levels to help them maximize their career potential, regardless of the obstacles they may face.

Sasha Robinson, Principal Interview Coach

Sasha is a founding partner of the Flightdeck Group, a group of aviation companies specialising in helping people achieve career success through career pathway awareness, interview preparation, career coaching and industry networking. Sasha has over 30 years experience in the Aviation industry, a former international airline pilot who flew the Airbus A330 and A340 worldwide. She is the author of The Complete Airline Pilot Interview Workbook and has experience as a Flight instructor, Aviation lecturer, expert witness and mentor.

Sasha is dedicated to assisting pilots in reaching their career aspirations. Her expertise lies in navigating the intricacies of HR interviews, and she takes great pleasure in witnessing pilots excel in these interviews and reap the rewards. Sasha specializes in guiding pilots with complex career histories, helping them transform these challenges into strengths during interviews.

Sasha’s hard work was recognised at the Australian Aviation Awards, as a finalist in 2022 and then winner in 2023 for the category “Female Aviation Leader of the Year”. Sasha and her business partner were also recognised at the Women in Altitude awards as finalists in the category “Dynamic Duo” and were winners of the “Brave” award.

 

 

Cath Davies, Principal Interview Coach

Cath has worked in the Aviation Industry for 35 years starting her aviation career in General Aviation, Cath moved into regional airlines and then domestic and international airline operations. She has flown the Boeing B737, Boeing B767 and the Airbus A330 and she holds a Bachelor of Aviation attained at Western Sydney University. Cath continues to work within the industry through a number of Government initiatives as a job skills workshop facilitator and aviation mentor.

Cath is also a photographer and has maintained her skills and interest in the arts attaining several qualifications in the profession.

Lloyd, Principal Interview Coach

Lloyd is a current F/O on wide body A350/A330 types. Masters of Aviation Management and five years Army officer training. Taking a more philosophical leadership coaching approach to developing candidate strengths and skills.

Lloyd specializes in guiding individuals on how to translate their command experience into the context of human resources, utilizing principles from doctrinal leadership science. He helps individuals convert their leadership skills from the flight deck into qualities sought by interviewers for future Captain positions.

His expertise spans across Australian, Middle Eastern, and Asiana carriers, including QANTAS, Jetstar, QANTAS Link, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand, and the Australian Defence Force employment process. Additionally, he has extensive experience in preparing test pilots, assisting with pre-command assessment, and coaching senior pilots for their Head of/Flying Operations (HOO/HOFO) CASA interviews.
